Sounds of Fall
Bull Elk (Cervus canadensis) - Rocky Mountain National Park - Colorado
Calls of the wild... there are some animals who's vocalizations cant help but evoke a sense of wildness in us. The howl of the wolf or the song of the loon... these are just two examples of sounds in nature that are inherently wild. One of my personal favorites is the haunting notes of a bugling elk. In the fall these beautiful calls can be heard echoing through the mountain valleys all through the night.
