Coyote and Grizzly
Yellowstone National Park - Wyoming
So here's something you don't see every day. I shot this sequence a few years ago. This was definitely the most fascinating animal interaction I've seen. The coyote and grizzly were both out in a large snowy meadow apparently playing some sort of game of animal tag. At first When I saw the coyote actually nip at the bears foot and make contact. I thought perhaps it was defending a den or something, but every time the coyote made a move the grizzly would run a bit and then roll over on its back, taunting the coyote to play. I watched this interaction for about 20 minutes as they took turns chasing each other. Eventually their antics continued over a hillside and I lost site of them, but it was something I will definitely never forget.
