A red fox vixen pauses for a moment en route back to her den. She has 8 hungry kits awaiting who will no doubt be disappointed that she was unsuccessful with her hunt. Not to worry though, the male and female will take turns hunting and providing for their young almost non-stop during the spring and early summer months.
