Clamdigger
Red Fox - (Vulpes vulpes) -Katmai National Park - Alaska
Red Foxes on the Alaska Peninsula have adapted the ability to find clams that are buried under the mud flats at low tide. Much like the brown bears in this area, they find the clams through site and smell and then dig them up. It's fascinating to watch how quickly and precisely these foxes can locate and de-shell these clams.
