A curious young male brown bear walks across the tidal flats to check on the activities of a red fox who was out digging for clams. When out photographing brown bears, it's usually the younger "bears that tend to get a little closer than you'd like. They are very curious and have no problem approaching at close range to inspect what's going on. Usually though, speaking in a firm voice when they get too close will keep them moving on their way.
