For as long as I can remember I've had a fascination with the world around me. Growing up around the lakes and rivers of Wisconsin offered plenty of opportunities for me to get an intimate look at nature and its inhabitants. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of camping trips to the Wisconsin peninsula and summer trips to the boundary waters of Minnesota. These places instilled a sense of wonder in me that I haven't lost to this day.

My voyage into photography began when my dad gave me my first camera for my 16th birthday during a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. From that point on I've never really put the camera down. I was fascinated with the many different aspects of photography and often wandered around the yard taking photos of whatever I found interesting.

The trip to Rocky Mountain National Park was my first visit to Colorado, but I knew it wouldn't be my last. I relocated to Breckenridge, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains during the winter of 2004. Surrounded by so much beauty I quickly realized the potential of combining my love of photography with my love of nature. Since then I've spent all of my time traveling and documenting the amazing things I've seen.

As for the future, I will be traveling and photographing as much as possible. I have many amazing trips already in the works and I look forward to sharing all of my upcoming adventures with you.
